… since I wrote something, but of course there was so much to do since we got married. I had to move into my new home  which also meant that I had to remove some of the chaos in a former bachelor’s apartment  Meanwhile most things have become “business as usual”, so that I have got more time for “ordinary” things – like posting in my blog, for example  

I must say that I enjoy married life very much  I also enjoy being in my new home. Unlike the area I lived in before we have got mountains all around us here. Our house is situated in a broad valley of the Swabian Alps, but nonetheless rather high up, so there will be more snow   in winter (we already had some snow this year) and spring comes later than I was used to before.

... I have been shamefully lazy in updating this journal, but I have a good excuse: I'm now in the final stages of my wedding preparations, so I have got other things on my mind

Today is the memorial day for the approximately 1.5 million Armenians who got killed in a genocide in the Ottoman Empire during World War I. With them died a large number of Greeks and Assyrians. Until this day Turkey, the successor state of the Ottoman Empire, deny the events, and mentioning them is prohibited by law.
